Children and Adolescents with ADHD
CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is the nation’s leading non-profit organization serving individuals with ADHD and their families. CHADD has over 16,000 members in 200 local chapters throughout the U.S. Chapters offer support for individuals, parents, teachers, professionals, and others. CHADD is a membership organization, produces the bi-monthly Attention magazine (for members), and sponsors an annual conference. The National Resource Center on ADHD (NRC) is the CDC-funded national clearinghouse for evidence-based information about ADHD.
Endeavor Health Services (Previously Mid-Erie Treatment Center)
The Child Mental Health Program provides a comprehensive array of community based treatment and support services to families with children and/or adolescents who have emotional and behavioral disorders. Through their involvement in services, children and adolescents strive to reach their potential while remaining in the safest available environment. Evidence Based Treatments offered for Disruptive Behavior Disorders (including ADHD), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Focused Therapy. Other services offered but not limited to: anger management, improved social and coping skills, treatment for depression, anxiety, school refusal, ADHD, and various behavior disorders.

Child and Family Services of WNY
Child and Family Services recognizes that healthy families are the building blocks of our community. Our clinics, licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health, work with children, adults and seniors on how to become healthy, productive members of society. The therapists offer assessment and treatment for mental health issues such as mood disorders, childhood/adolescent disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders and adjustment disorders. Any person, with emotional problems, from age three through adulthood in need of individual, family or group counseling can qualify for services. Counseling may be as brief as one to six sessions, or may require a longer period of time. Services are determined on an individual basis by the client and counselor. Medicaid, medicare and most private insurances are accepted forms of payment. Walk-ins are accepted or individuals can call on their own for an intake appointment.

Children’s Hospital – Autism Team and Resources
The Children's Guild Foundation Autism Spectrum Disorder Center at Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo is the only center for medically-based, multidisciplinary evaluation and diagnosis of children with autism spectrum disorders in Western New York. The Center was established in 2010 with a $585,000 grant from The Children's Guild Foundation, which has provided long standing and significant support for the children and families at Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo. The Center takes a team-based approach to evaluation. During one visit, each child is seen by a developmental pediatrician, child neurologist, and child psychologist. After the visit, the team discusses the child and determines the diagnosis and/or need for any additional testing or services. The Center has a full time social worker and nurse and offers a monthly parent group, newly diagnosed sessions and information resources for parents of children diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.
